Released in 2022 on Provogue Records No More Worlds To Conquer proves that Robin Trower is still chasing emotion through tone. The opening track Ball Of Fire strikes with gritty blues swagger. Trower’s guitar lines remain smooth powerful and drenched in atmosphere from start to end.

The title track is moody and thoughtful with lyrics touching on regret and defiance. Waiting For The Rain To Fall blends soulful vocals with Trower’s lyrical phrasing. The Razor’s Edge leans into funk while Cloud Across The Sun turns back to heavy slow grooves. Singer and bassist Richard Watts brings richness and grit to every vocal part.

There’s no rush here just space and control. Fire To Ashes and Deadly Kiss slow down into haunting territory with production that highlights every subtle bend and sustain. Jan Vincent Velazco’s drums lock the rhythm like a metronome made of velvet. The overall tone is warm vintage and lovingly restrained.

Robin Trower hasn’t run out of inspiration. No More Worlds To Conquer feels like a conversation with the past and a salute to the present. For fans of Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore or Hendrix this is a late-career gem worth spinning again and again.
